Aimee and Ryan Conroy tied the knot in November 2018 at a ceremony which is sure to tug heavily at the heartstrings.
Twelve months prior to their big day, this couple experienced a heartbreak which no one should ever have to experience; on 29th November 2017 their much-longed for baby daughter Luna was born sleeping.
Since then the young couple have set up a charity (Luna's Fund) to raise awareness and funds for other families affected by stillborn and neonatal bereavement in the hope that they can soften the grieving process and help other bereaved parents following such tragedy.
The wedding was held at the Olympic Lagoon Resort in Paphos on Luna's first birthday and was a beautifully heartfelt occasion to say the least. We thank Aimee and Ryan for sharing their incredibly special day with us...
Extra Special Touches
Aimee and Ryan incorporated baby Luna into every aspect of their wedding day. The colour scheme was baby pink and white, and the 49 guests were asked to wear something pink to remember Luna.
Butterflies were a significant theme of the day as butterflies symbolise eternal life, so Aimee's bouquet was dotted with butterflies. On the day itself the couple were blown away at how many real butterflies surrounded them and danced around the wedding party.
As they got married on Luna's first birthday, the couple had a cake topper made for their baby girl and the congregation attempted a rather emotional rendition of 'Happy Birthday' before the couple blew out the candle and made a wish for their future together.
The wedding rings had tiny inset yellow diamonds which were Luna's ashes, and Aimee even had an engraving of Luna's beautiful little face engraved onto Ryan's ring.
There was a reserved seat for Luna right in between mum and dad, and it was surrounded by fairy lights and candles in memory of their beautiful daughter.
We pride ourselves on going above and beyond for our customers. When we suggested that Ryan had a handmade pocket square made with Luna's initials made he thought this the perfect surprise for his beautiful bride! Our in-house seamstress sewed the embroidered square onto the inside of Aimee's wedding dress and positioned it perfectly to sit over her heart. A lovely personal touch which Aimee adored.

Aimee is now pregnant and the newlyweds are expecting a baby boy - we wish them all the love and happiness in the world and thank them again for choosing Amica Bridal Boutique and for allowing us to share their special day.
