REAL BRIDES - Caroline Wilson
Posted by Amy Bellamy on
Caroline and Scott Wilson renewed their wedding vows on New Year's Eve 2019 in a beautifully personal ceremony at the historic Kitley House near Plymouth. After a year spent planning the perfect day, Caroline said she was so happy to have her close friends and family with her on this special occasion and being around loved ones was what made the day amazing.
Caroline dressed her bridesmaids in dusky pink as that was the colour theme when the couple originally got married so it seemed fitting to do the same for the renewal. The fitted bridesmaid dresses (from Quiz) featured a gorgeous ruffle feature which coordinated nicely with Caroline's stunning jeweled wedding dress.
Caroline said, "The girls at Amica were amazing. Choosing your wedding dress is such an important part of the planning process and the team at Amica were just great".
Caroline's Ronald Joyce wedding dress looked absolutely fabulous - the glam style suited her beautifully and accentuated that gorgeous figure, whilst the elegant detailing ensured that all eyes were on her. And that train!
Caroline said that the funniest bit of her wedding day was when her mum accidentally set off the fire alarms at the hotel by lighting sparklers which she thought were indoor ones...Oops! We love a funny wedding day anecdote and find that it all adds to the personal nature of the day and the rich tapestry of memories.
Susan Eason made Caroline's artificial flower bouquet, her stunning hair and make up was done by the talented ladies at Glam Ward and the couple chose a brownie tower wedding cake by Milas Bakery in Plympton.
Caroline said that the most magical part of her wedding was being able to share the special day with her children. It was a deeply romantic and personal ceremony and was everything she dreamed of for their marriage renewal. She said "You have to remember what your wedding is about and the true meaning. You don't need to spend a ridiculous amount for it to be really special".
We are so delighted that Caroline and Scott had such a special day. We loved helping you to find your dream dress and wish you so much happiness for the future!
