REAL BRIDES - Lauren Machin
Posted by Amy Bellamy on
On the 29th May 2021 Lauren and Jack tied the knot in the beautiful setting of St Mellion Golf and Country Club. The couple chose this wedding venue for its stunning views and were so glad that they did as it really set the backdrop for their special day.

Lauren's stunning fishtail wedding dress was called Linyl by Ladybird, and Lauren shone in this exquisite gown. She says, "I chose it because it is a fishtail style and it was so elegant and beautiful. This dress was actually one I tried on in 2019 whilst my cousin was looking, and then I looked again in 2020 and went back to it without even realising! I loved it from the beginning and it honestly looked so beautiful."
Speaking of her experience with the team here at Amica, Lauren said: "I had a really lovely experience – the girls were amazing despite the Covid restrictions in place. It was an unusual experience of choosing a dress through a pandemic but you had the space to yourself so what a bonus! I think that all the girls are great and they are friendly and respond quickly to messages." Thank you for the kind words Lauren, we loved meeting you and helping you to find your dream dress!

Lauren's stunning wedding bouquet was created by the talented florist Catherine at Flowers by Catherine. The arrangement included roses and lilies in delicate white, pinks and peaches. Lauren explains, "The florist used lilies to remember the twin that we lost in 2019. Her name is Lily-Mae so this was a beautiful touch that meant a lot to us. She also put crystals in to make them sparkle which was just stunning."
The supremely talented Hayley Watson at All About the Bride did Lauren's hair. She says, "Oh my god she is amazing and so talented! She is very good at sculpturing your hair and made my hair into roses! I went to my appointment with a couple ideas and it was Hayley who helped me decide what to have – I loved it from the very beginning!". Ria at Bold Beauty did Lauren's faultless make up - she chose her having had her make up done by Ria when she was a bridesmaid and was blown away with the results.

The couple's family friend made the cake and Rachel Amos was their wedding photographer. Lauren said, "Rachel takes beautiful pictures and she has a fantastic work ethic. She even carries around a laminated card to tick off all the photos you have asked for – I think this is a great idea and great organisation. Rachel amazed me and filled every expectation and more."
When asked if there were any funny moments during the wedding, Lauren fondly recalls... "Our darling one year and a half year old decided to stand and dance all over my dress whilst we were saying our vows – I think she didn’t like not getting all the attention for once! She then decided to fall asleep in daddy’s arms whilst he was doing his speech!!"
And Finally...
Lauren leaves us with these wise words "Lessons I have learnt is that it is not about the amount of people around you - it’s about the people who matter most and mainly about you two! I always wanted a big wedding but obviously Covid had other ideas and we didn’t want to postpone so accepted that fact and quite honestly we had the perfect day with an intimate ceremony! The only thing I’d have changed is I wish more could have come to the evening to party but we will still do this!"
What an absolutely beautiful bride and gorgeous wedding day. Thank you so much for sharing your memories with us Lauren, we wish you and your family all the love in the world for a future full of love and happiness,
Love, all of us at Amica
xxxxx
